30 Day Song Challenge | Day 28: A Song That Makes You Feel Guilty

Ozar Midrashim, Legacy of Kain

I’m being really naughty with this one and bending the question as much as possible – this is a song that makes me feel guilty on behalf of Eidos and Crystal Dynamics, etc for not continuing the Legacy of Kain series. It honestly is the best series of games I’ve ever come across, and deserves so much more credit than it gets. It’s the classic underrated champion of gaming. A modern title would be amazing, considering the gameplay and graphics available now. I urge everyone to make as big a stink as possible about this, because it’s just criminal. The same goes for the possibility that Stargate’s going to die out soon, but I won’t even go into that at the moment.

This video’s got a nice mix of scenes from Legacy of Kain: Defiance in, but it looks like they turned the graphics down to record or something, because they’re normally much better.

30 Day Song Challenge | Day 27: A Song You Wish You Could Play

Bliss by Cookie Monsta

It’s not just this song really, it’s just an example. I’d love to find out how to make good Dubstep and have a bash at it sometime. As it is though, I really can’t be bothered. I’d also love to take up guitar and drums again, but I just have too much going on with The Combative Self-Protection System at the moment to take up anything new.

30 Day Song Challenge | Day 26: A Song That You Can Play On An Instrument

Muscle Rollers by Feed Me

All I need is a rubber band, a pint glass, a whisk, a plastic comb, a piece of paper and my mouth and I’m good to go with this one.

Muscle Rollers, Feed Me

I played guitar a little bit once, but now I’m even more of a musical newb than I was then. Unless it’s tribal drumming you’re after that is. Or Chinese a bit. Then I’m your man.

30 Day Song Challenge | Day 25: A Song That Makes You Laugh

Dubstep Santa by Audio-Spektics

It’s just hilarious, but also awesome at the same time. Can’t complain really!

Honourable mention also goes to this song. It was the song that got me into dubstep. Listen. Appreciate. That will be all.

30 Day Song Challenge | Day 24: A Song You Want To Play At Your Funeral

Astral Chant by Synergy

I was trying to think of the most fitting thing, and I think this would be it. I got it from a website about astral projection and associated awesomeness, and it’d weird everyone out spectacularly. Here it is on another site (not the one I got it from in the first place:

Rather good.

30 Day Song Challenge | Day 23: A Song You Want Playing At Your Wedding

Imperial March by John Williams

I couldn’t think of anything really, but let’s face it – this would be pretty awesome! To be honest I’m not that fussed about a wedding anyway, with me not being a Christian and everything. Seems a bit strange to me, getting married if you’re not Christian, considering it’s a Christian thing. I know it’s just the accepted norm, but I’ve never been one for those have I? haha

30 Day Song Challenge | Day 22: A Song That You Listen To When You’re Sad

Gollum’s Song by Howard Shore

Well when I’m sad I don’t really listen to music that much I guess, and if I was then I’d listen to something which would help me cheer up. That said, I’m not actually sad very often. I only really get sad when someone acts like a complete dick towards someone I care about, for example the kids my brother has the misfortune to share an existence with at school, or the teachers who tell him it’s wrong to hit them back when there’s nothing else he can do. Still, I digress. Here’s a sad song.

30 Day Song Challenge | Day 21: A Song You Listen To When You’re Happy

Prodigal Son by Sevendust

Ok, this time it’s something that’s not Disturbed. Really uplifting song, this one – the dude’s voice is awesome. I love this song, it’s an old favourite.

30 Day Song Challenge | Day 20: A Song That You Listen To When You’re Angry

The Game by Disturbed

I was going to put Face To Face by Sevendust on because I wanted some diversity, ie something not done by Disturbed. Then I remembered this song. Dirty laugh.

The Game, Disturbed

…rrrAH! …rrrAH!

30 Day Song Challenge | Day 19: A Song From Your Favourite Album

Asylum by Disturbed

Ahh, Disturbed. If it was anyone else, I’d apologise for keeping on about the same band. You must think it’s all I listen to (it really isn’t by the way), but still. I love them. Listen to this and try not to mash the face of a chav. Go on. Try. Wonderful video too.
